The Discipulus and It’s Mission

Discipulus: Latin for student

And within our organization–The Discipulus–we place utmost emphasis on students. Whether that be student writers gaining valuable experience while also talking about their passions, or whether that be students at school using our informative articles to aid in research projects. Along with our goal of aiding students in research projects, The Discipulus will include citation at the end of every article citing written articles in MLA, Chicago, and APA format to aid students in any school projects or competitions. Thus the citation at the end of each article can easily be added to a works cited or annotated bibliography so students can focus their time on pressing matters. Rather than focusing their time on finding the correct citation machines, students can allocate time to creating a project or adding additional research to a project. With a wide variety of subjects, some articles will be written about local events of the City of Irvine, while other articles will be written for the sole purpose of informing others and will have valuable information whether a researcher is in Los Angeles or London.

Because The Discipulus is entirely student run, if you are interested in volunteering to write for The Discipulus, you can contact us through this website, or through our instagram at @thediscipulus.news (contacting through our instagram is preferred).
